New Release by Apple

Three different browser versions were released by Apple on 28th January 2015 for different operating systems i.e. Safari 8.0.3, Safari 7.1.3, and Safari 6.2.3 were the new versions released respectively for Mountain Lion, Mavericks, and Yosemite.

New Release by Apple

Seems like Apple people are really hard and smart working as without it is highly impossible to get regular updates. So, these new versions are released with a view to solve various memory corruption issues that occur in WebKit and collide with Apple’s OS X 10.10.2 update that considers security update 2015-001 as well as the release of Apple TV 7.0.3

This new Safari web browser is especially designed for three different versions of operating systems i.e. OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5, OS X Mavericks 10.9.5, and OS X Yosemite 10.10.1.

These new browsers are developed to reduce the burden of

  • CVE-2014-3192: This is to be used after a free vulnerability that occurs in processing instructions::setXSLStyleSheet function in core/dom/ProcessingInstruction.cpp in the DOM implementation in Blink, as used in Google Chrome before 38.0.2125.101.

This permits remote attackers to create a service denial or create some other impact through unknown vectors.

  • CVE-2014-4476, CVE-2014-4477, CVE-2014-4479: Certain websites contain malicious software that can stop the application suddenly or lead to arbitrary code execution. Such several corruption issues can be available in WebKit. These issues are addressed via improved memory handling.

Mac book users can easily get these browsers installed or update Safari Web browser by selecting Apple Menu, Software update option. Admin password will be asked in some cases. Direct updates can also be available from Mac App Store.

So, now if you are facing any issues with the operating system then these browsers are here to solve the problems for you. Further details can be available from Apple’s website and these updates are also available from there.
